In  1808 a timber framed thatched barn was converted into the ‘Cottage Ornee' style Chapel that we see today. It was first registered for Christian worship in the Non-Conformist tradition in 1808. The chapel is a Grade II* listed building.

Services are held on selected Sundays at 3pm except

during British Summer Time when they are at 6pm.

Everyone is welcome to join us.

The chapel is also available for other services such as Marriages, Christenings, Funerals, Memorial services and Blessings.

Regular fund raising events include coffee mornings with various stalls, concerts, open days and picnics in the chapel garden.

There are also organised tours which include showing artefacts from the chapel school founded in 1830 and details on the restorations of 1992, 2007 and 2019.

Please see our Events page for details.

Roxton Congregational Chapel received a National Lottery grant of £65,000 towards an exciting heritage project to renew the thatched roof and increase local involvement in the chapel in Roxton.  This grant was made possible by money raised by National Lottery players.  Supported through the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), the project has ensured that the building has a secure future and enables people to learn about heritage.
